This i.MX258 ARM9TM based embedded development system was designed to be used as a fully functional embedded PC or as a development platform for the i.MX25 SODIMM Module Pro, which includes all of the technologically and development demanding parts, thus significantly reducing products time-to-market.
The development kit can be supplied with i.MX25 SODIMM Module in various configurations, and allows a simple replacement by other two cross-compatible COMs, the i.MX53 SODIMM Module or i.MX51 SODIMM Module, representing a possibility of getting powerful system out of an economic one.
To make the custom baseboard design even easier, Voipac provides the schematic of the i.MX25 SODIMM Module and the complete Altium Designer project of the i.MX25 SODIMM Base Board. With all these foundations combined, the development kit provides the possibility of parallel HW and SW integration.
Besides all the standard PC peripheral interfaces, the system supports numerous communication channels as well as universal expansion slots and connectors. Integration of the nonstandard or customer's peripherals can be realized upon request.
At the final stage of design period, the developed application can easily be placed into customer's own, more economic base board together with one of the selected Voipac SODIMM modules.
The i.MX25 SODIMM Module Pro comes with a preinstalled Yocto 2.4 Rocko OS based on Linux kernel 4.14.21 and GNU utilities. Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Professional and Debian 7 are available upon request.
